Ottawa is planning on giving the City of Mississauga $17 million, combined with the $12 million from the Active Transportation Fund agreement to expand and enhance the Mississauga shoreline.

More specifically, the funds are allocated to the Mississauga Waterfront/Trans Canada Trail and the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area trail. This trail system will completely change the waterfront providing residents and tourists an incredible experience.
